Representative Alicea Announces Public Hearing Date for Registry of Motor Vehicle Legislation at Southbridge Town Hall

SOUTHBRIDGE- Representative Geraldo Alicea (D-Charlton) announced that the Joint Committee on Transportation will be holding a public hearing at the Southbridge Town Hall on Monday, December 7 at 1:30 PM to hear testimony on various transportation related legislation including two bills he has filed with respect to the Southbridge RMV office move to Charlton.

The hearing is open to the public and will give local residents a chance to offer testimony on behalf of House Bill 4326, An Act Relative to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, and House Bill 4327, An Act Relative to a Public Hearing in the Town of Southbridge, both of which relate to the Administration’s recent decision to relocate the Southbridge branch office to its new Charlton Turnpike location.

“This public hearing will give local residents a chance to express their concerns about the new Charlton RMV office location” said Representative Geraldo Alicea. “I think it is imperative that their voices are heard regarding the impact that this decision has had on the community”.

The hearing will take place in the MacKinnon Council Chamber at the Southbridge Town Hall, located on 41 Elm Street in Southbridge.
