Cathleen B. Kuehl Honored At the State House as Unsung Heroine of Massachusetts

Representative Geraldo Alicea attends Ceremony Sponsored
by the Mass Commission on Status of Women

On Wednesday May 16th, Cathleen B. Kuehl of Charlton was honored by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women as an Unsung Heroine of Massachusetts. The Ceremony, which took place at the State House, honored women from around the Commonwealth for the contributions to their respective communities. The Mass Commission on the Status of Women noted that these women “don’t make the news… they make the difference.

Kuehl was honored for her contributions to the community as the Town of Charlton’s “unofficial” town photographer. She volunteers her time to take photos of celebrations and special events at the Senior Center as well as the Veteran’s program, Memorial Day events, and Library Functions. In addition, Kuehl generously supplies all of the costumes for the Senior Center’s annual Halloween Party.

“It was a great privilege to attend the ceremony where Cathleen was honored for her outstanding dedication to the community of Charlton,” state Representative Alicea (D-Charlton). “It is individuals such as herself that make a difference in our communities.”
